Using your summoner card safely on social media and Discord

A summoner card is a handy way to find people to play with on X or Discord. Since you are posting it publicly, though, a few things are worth keeping in mind.

Leave out personal information

Do not put your real name, school, workplace, where you live or photos of yourself in your comment or post. Small details can identify you when combined. For play times, something like “weeknight evenings” is enough.

Should you show your Riot ID?

Showing your Riot ID (Name#Tag) makes adding you easy, but it also lets anyone look up your account. If you would rather not get requests from strangers, choose a preset such as “Ask me in DMs” for the name and share your ID only with people you have talked to.

Discord etiquette

  • Post in the right channel, such as introductions or looking-for-group.
  • Some servers have rules about images or post format. Read them first.
  • Avoid posting the same message over and over in a short time.

Keeping games fun

People you meet through posts start out as strangers. On a losing streak, saying “next one!” instead of blaming makes it much more likely you will become long-term friends. If it does not feel right, there is no need to keep going; just let them know politely.

If someone keeps sending unwanted DMs or harasses you, block them and use the report tools on X or Discord.

If saving the image fails

When the site is opened inside an app such as X or Discord, “Save image” may not work. Open the page in a browser such as Safari or Chrome, or long-press the image to save it. See the FAQ for details.

Where you can use your card

Images made with SUMMONER CARD can be used freely for personal use: social posts, Discord profiles, stream overlays and so on. The champion and skin art belongs to Riot Games; see the terms for details on what is allowed.

For writing the post itself, see How to write a LoL friend or duo post that gets replies.
